Hungary

We were going to go to Budapest but decided against it, as apparently it was extremely crowded when we would have been there, as there was a big music festival taking place, in addition to the typical influx of seasonal tourists.

Consequently, we decided to go to Zalaegerszeg, which was quieter.

Just up the road from the apartment where we stayed was this attractive looking synagogue, which was being renovated.

Whilst wandering around the town, we stumbled across a production in Hungarian of 'Spamalot', the Monty Python musical. We got speaking to the director who invited us to watch the show. We only saw the first fifteen minutes, as the Hungarian language is inpenetrable for those who don't know it, however we knew the routines so well, it was still funny.

It was rather warm whilst we were there (about 35c), so we went to a nearby waterpark to cool down a bit.
